the City of Gloucester

covid local recovery funds

The City of Gloucester was awarded approximately $23 million dollars from the US Department of Treasury and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts resulting from the passage of the American Rescue Plan Act in 2021. To ensure a thoughtful and strategic approach to this funding opportunity, Mayor Verga created the COVID Local Recovery Funds Listening Group. This group will host five to six listening posts throughout the community to solicit public input on potential uses of these funds. Residents, local organizations and businesses are welcome to attend these sessions.

This site is designed as a central source of information for the citizens of Gloucester regarding the COVID Local Recovery Funds as well as to provide updates and information on the scheduled listening posts.

Important dates, news releases, and links to upcoming and past meetings will be posted here. The links below will connect you to further information on Federal and State allowances and the initial goals and objectives related to this historic funding opportunity.
